Bio: Angelika Stuefer ist seit Jänner 2021 als Direktorin für die Geschäftsführung und Gesamtorganisation des VKE zuständig. Sie studierte Erziehungswissenschaften in Verona, Non Profit Management in München und sammelte in den letzten 15 Jahren vielfältige Erfahrungen als Führungskraft, pädagogische Leitung und Beraterin für verschiedenen Sozialgenossenschaften im Bereich der Kinderbetreuung.

Bio: Bernhard Kiem, nato il 12.06.1968 a Bolzano, nel 1987 costruisce il primo PC un 486. Lavora nel management, gestisce diverse aziende sue e di altri, con fino a 400 collaboratori. Poi nel 2020 decide di tornare alla sua passione, la tecnologia. Presto le aziende gli affidano i PC in disuso per una questione di sostenibilità e per dare una seconda vita ai computer, che loro non usano più. Tecnologia, sostenibilità digitale ed economia circolare gli danno una forte motivazione.

Abstract: • Wir geben den PC’s ein zweites Leben • Wir kaufen die Geräte von lokalen Unternehmen • Selektionieren, reinigen, regenerieren, installieren und übergeben die PC’s • Vor allem an Schüler, Studenten, Familien, aber auch Organisationen • Wir bieten FUSS 12 an, liefern aber auch alternative Betriebssysteme • Der Computer ist fast gratis, nur die Arbeit/Ersatzteile werden bezahlt • Dieses Jahr wurden 10 Tonnen Elektromüll vermieden und hunderte Familien mit digitale nachhaltigen Geräten versorgt.

Bio: I am a software developer and trainer with a freelance career spanning since 2003. Over the years, I have contributed to software development for over 25 companies, specializing in system and network programming, web development, data processing, analysis and computation, machine learning, embedded programming, and relational database design and programming. In addition to development, I have provided consultancy services to over 15 companies, primarily focusing on database programming and performance, database migrations with a specialization in PostgreSQL, and the utilization of Open Source software and Linux.
As a trainer, I have conducted over 200 courses, both onsite and online, for companies and public institutions. My current areas of expertise in training include, software development, database systems and machine learning.

Title: Open Source on the Stage
Abstract: In this talk, I’ll showcase how I developed a system to automate lights and visual effects during live shows for my band AMMO using free open-source tools. By integrating Ardour as the main orchestration tool with QLC+ for light control, I synchronized MIDI signals from my keyboards to manage sounds, transitions, and lighting effects. The setup includes DMX and WLED lights controlled via ESP32-based devices and tools like LoopMIDI and Hairless MIDI for signal routing. I’ll highlight the architecture, challenges, and solutions that made this project a reality.
Gaël Duval

Bio: Gaël Duval, founder and CEO of Murena, is a European entrepreneur and one of the Open Source and Linux pioneers. In 1998, he created Mandrake Linux (which became Mandriva Linux), the first Linux distribution that focused on the desktop and became a worldwide reference. Mandriva went public in 2001. Late 2017, Gaël Duval created the /e/OS mobile operating system with the idea to «break free from Google and Apple». /e/OS is a privacy-oriented fork of the Android Open Source Project accompanied with a set of online services that protect users’ personal data. In 2018, Duval founded the e Foundation, which maintains /e/OS, and MURENA SAS, a privately-held corporation, which operates their online sales and services sites.
His driving force with /e/OS and Murena is to empower people to enjoy the many benefits the internet has to offer without the intrusion of constant tracking and monitoring. He wants to make people more aware of online privacy, show them how to take back control of it and offer the best products with a fair approach.

Abstract: Non bastano le competenze tecniche per un uso consapevole del digitale. Quanto siamo in grado di utilizzare alcuni strumenti e quanto invece sono loro ad “usare” noi? Insegnanti e genitori sono inoltre responsabili delle scelte anche per il futuro di bambini e ragazzi. Conoscere i rischi e le criticità significa aprirsi a soluzioni più sicure e adatte ai contesti educativi.

Chiara Gandolfi: Docente di Informatica e animatrice digitale all’I.I.S.S. “Gandhi”, si è occupata soprattutto di informatica in ambito educativo anche in altre vesti (coordinatrice di progetto, progettista, sviluppatrice, consulente tecnica).
Title: ScuolaSync – dalla scuola per la scuola
Abstract: Il sistema ScuolaSync nasce dall’incontro tra l’esigenza dell’I.I.S.S. “Gandhi” di Merano di avere un nuovo sistema di gestione delle sostituzioni dei docenti assenti e la disponibilità di uno studente appassionato di informatica al quale si voleva proporre un percorso personalizzato. Nasce così un lunghissimo PCTO (Percorso per le Competenze Trasversali e l’Orientamento) con la scuola come committente, lo studente come progettista/sviluppatore e una docente come supervisore. Il prodotto di questo percorso è un sistema web-based opensource di gestione di sostituzioni, eventi e notizie, in uso nell’istituto da gennaio 2024.

Bio: Pasquale Imbemba wurde in Bochum, Deutschland, geboren und lebt seit 1997 in Südtirol. Seit 2009 arbeitet er – mit einigen Unterbrechungen – im Bereich Informatik für die Südtiroler Landesverwaltung. Zudem bringt er internationale Erfahrungen aus seiner Zeit in den Niederlanden und der Schweiz mit. Pasquale engagiert sich für einen sinnvollen, ethischen Umgang mit Informatik.

Abstract: Während Initiativen wie die der Bundesbeauftragten für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit wichtige Impulse zur digitalen Aufklärung geben, erleben viele Nutzer eine zunehmende Überforderung durch komplexe Datenschutzvorgaben. In diesem Vortrag beleuchten wir die Herausforderungen im Umgang mit Datenschutz in Südtirol und diskutieren, wie lokale Sensibilisierungskampagnen dazu beitragen können, digitale Mündigkeit zu fördern.
